Menu printing methods

Full Colour Printing

The most common and cost effective printing method, also known as CMYK. Can be printed digitally for short runs or by litho (lithography) for longer runs.

Pantone Spot Colours

Spot colours by Pantone are for specific brand colours that are normally out of the gamut of general CMYK printing. Mainly used on litho presses but also some digital presses.

Letterpress

Utilising antique & vintage printing presses, we provide a comprehensive letterpress printing service. The sculptural impression provided by letterpress printing adds a desirable and tactile quality.

Thermography

Thermo achieves an engraved look, a slow-drying litho ink is used and then dusted while wet with a fine powder. When heated, the powder and ink fuse to create a gloss relief “orange peel” effect.

Emboss

Using a printing die in conjunction with a counterforce die the paper or card is brought together under pressure to raise an area proud of the sheet. A truly high end finish to premium print jobs.

Deboss

The method is the same as foiling, just without the foil The image area is pushed in to the sheet. You can get really stunning results with debossing.

Foil and Metallic

We use different methods to produce metallic effects, from foil blocking with a die, to scodix foils or printing on metallic substrates using the "Color-Logic" method to create many metallic colours.

White Printing

We can foil block white using a die or we can printing white ink digitally on our Ricoh press. The latter method is cost effective and can be be turned around in less than 24 hours.

Spot UV

Spot UV is a varnish that is printed only in certain areas of your design to create stunning effects. If can also be built up to create depth. This can be achieved traditionally or digitally.

To order from us is as simple as 1, 2, 3!

If it all seems too difficult, contact us and we will do the whole process for you, giving you peace of mind at all times.

Supplying your files

Always supply your document the size that you want it printed.

Keep all text matter at least 3mm away from the edge.

If your job bleeds, please add at least 3mm.

We print from most applications, but a high resolution PDF is our preference.

If you are not supplying a PDF, please make sure you supply all linked graphics and fonts with the job. Please compress all files into one archive before uploading, ‘stuffit’ Macintosh or ‘zip’ for PC. This is not needed if you are supplying a PDF.

Remember that we are printing your job in 4 colour process (CMYK), allow for this when using pantone colours.

Make sure your images are scanned at a minimum of 300dpi to the size you are going to use them at.

Try not to use duotones or RGB images, convert to CMYK for best results.

Avoid large areas of flat colours, with digital print you can get banding, also avoid large graduations if there is a problem with your files, we will contact you immediately.

Our online ordering service is self explanatory as you progress through the stages.

All deliveries HAVE to be signed for, please make sure that someone is in to receive your delivery, e-digiprint.com will NOT be held responsible if nobody is there to receive your delivery or your premises are closed.
